Keith has worked with CAP since 1998, becoming Chief Executive in 2001. Preceding this he worked for the Citizens Advice service in Suffolk and Shropshire. Prior to joining Citizens Advice, Keith worked in financial services for Barclays and latterly Legal and General.
As Chief Executive, Keith’s key role involves strategic development, governance and the implementation of the business plan for the charity. Duties include liaising with funders, keeping the trustees apprised of developments within national Citizens Advice as well as exploring new external opportunities that fit within the overall aims and ethos of CAP.
Ultimately, Keith must ensure that the charity operates within its statutory obligations together with the standards set in the Citizens Advice membership scheme so that CAP passes the external tri-annual governance audit, which confirms the ongoing membership of Citizens Advice and the Advice Quality Standard.
